In The Darkness 2 geht es auf einen brutalen, pers�nlichen Rachefeldzug als Jackie Estacado, den Tr�ger der M�chte der Finsternis. Zwei Jahre sind seit dem ersten Teil vergangen und Jackie ist inzwischen Don der Franchetti-Familie. Durch einen Anschlag auf sein Leben wird ein Mafia-Krieg entfacht, w�hrend zu allem �berfluss auch noch die Dunkelheit zurr�ckkehrt.

F�r die Story zeichnet sich Comicbuch-Autor Paul Jenkins verantwortlich. Um den Comic-Wurzeln treu zu bleiben, soll das Spiel "einen stimmungsvollen Einsatz des Kontrasts Licht gegen Dunkelheit, eine tiefgreifende und weitverzweigte Geschichte sowie handgemalte Grafik im Noir-Stil" bieten.

Sicher ist bereits: Die Tentakel werden ausgebaut, k�nnen unabh�ngig voneinander gesteuert werden und wurden um neue brutale Man�ver bereichert. Au�erdem kann man die Kulisse in die K�mpfe mit einbeziehen, um beispielsweise eine Parkuhr zu werfen oder Gegner mit einem M�lldeckel in der Mitte durchzutrennen.

The Darkness 2 wird, wie auch schon der Vorg�nger sowie die Comic-Vorlage, ein brutales Spiel, das mit ziemlicher Sicherheit f�r den deutschen Markt geschnitten werden muss.

Sicher ist bereits: Die Tentakel werden ausgebaut, können unabhängig voneinander gesteuert werden und wurden um neue brutale Manöver bereichert. Außerdem kann man die Kulisse in die Kämpfe mit einbeziehen, um beispielsweise eine Parkuhr zu werfen oder Gegner mit einem Mülldeckel in der Mitte durchzutrennen.

The Darkness 2 wird, wie auch schon der Vorgänger sowie die Comic-Vorlage, ein brutales Spiel, das mit ziemlicher Sicherheit für den deutschen Markt geschnitten werden muss.
